Hello Keith.

If they are doing their job properly, their stock-control system will AUTOMATICALLY inform THEM that they need to reorder. (The machine counts the items as they go through the check-out.) The buying department will then contact you by whatever method was agreed when you first negotiated the sale. However, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for you to contact that department after a reasonable period of time, just in case the store’s automatic system has malfunctioned. (When one relies on machinery to do EVERYTHING, one can never be ABSOLUTELY sure.)

Furthermore, when you do actually sell your products to ANY STORE for the first time, you should enquire as to how the reordering system operates and whether you should visit or make contact again after an agreed period of time.

What exactly is it that you are selling? Is it available to anyone else?

Best Wishes.

Hello Lori.

It is definitely possible to purchase an item and patent it. One can patent any item that has not already been patented.

For this reason, inventors and designers usually keep their ideas secret until they have patented them.

Please let us know if you need any further information.

COMMENT FROM GRANT (Chairman of "World of Water Limited")

"Well done Walmart and well done RUPERT Howes, Chief Executive of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC).

I read that Wal-Mart are going to now source all of its wild-caught fresh and frozen fish for the North American market from fisheries that meet the MSC’s independent environmental standard for sustainable and well-managed fisheries.

The useful MSC’s distinctive blue eco-label will be seen more and the buyers will get to realise their ability to use "People power" to help the environment

Let's hope the MSC eco-label in Wal-Mart store in N. America thing speads to all their Stores and then to ALL stores around the globe .... well, it's a start in the right direction.

All best

Grant (wearing his Chair of "World of Water Limited" hat for a change )

Hello Tim.

Without being patented, there is every chance that your idea will be stolen.

However, that figure of 9,000 dollars seems far more than necessary. Have you spoken directly to the patenting authorities?

Perhaps you could find out if the patent would also apply in the U.S.A. if it were registered in the U.K. The following details might be useful to you.
