ProAct
ProAct aims to help
businesses cope with the downturn, and develop staff
skills ready for the upturn.
The scheme provides training
for employees who are on short time working, and
helps businesses to keep skilled staff who may otherwise be made
redundant.
It is initially available until March
2010. It is flexible, but broadly offers:
- Training Costs up to £2,000 per
individual
- Wage subsidy up to £2,000 (£50 a day) per
individual during this training
