| Description: |
Contracts of Employment organised by ACAS, taking place on 8th January 09 in Cardiff. |
Written statements are required by law to be given to all
employees who have been employed for at least a month. They help to
avoid misunderstandings about employees’ particulars of
employment.
Many employment tribunals claims (115,039 last year) arise from
inadequately documented terms - the appropriate notice not being
given when terms need to be changed or the proper procedures not
being followed when contracts come to an end.
By the end of this session attendees should be aware of the main
terms and conditions that need to be included in a contract, how to
vary the terms and end a contract.
It is aimed at anyone with responsibility for preparing,
changing or ending contracts, and will include:
- What is a contract of employment
- What is a written statement of employment particulars
- When a written statement should be issued
- Who should receive of written statement
- What should be in the written statement
- How to vary a contract of employment
- How to end a contract of employment
Cost: £95.00 + VAT.
