Last year there were over 130,000 Employment Tribunal claims in
Great Britain. Many of these arose from inadequately documented
employment contracts and failure to follow proper employment
procedures.
This training session is aimed at employers, particularly
small businesses who do not have procedures covering dismissal,
discipline and grievance.
It will provide guidance on issues such as misconduct,
capability and employee grievances. It also examines contracts of
employment, including the legal requirement of constructing a
written statement of main terms & conditions.
By the end of this session attendees should know how to
introduce and operate practices and procedures which are fair,
effective and easy to understand. It will include:
- Contracts of employment
- Disciplinary procedures
- Handling grievances
- Policy development
