Government Consults on Flexible Working
The Government has published a consultation
exploring ways to simplify flexible working requests for
businesses.
The consultation follows the announcement that
the Government would extend the right to request flexible working
to parents with children who are 16 years old and under.
It will also consider ways to raise awareness
of the right to request flexible working among employees, and of
the free tools available to make dealing with requests simpler for
businesses.
For further information on the consultation
please visit the Department for Business Enterprise &
Regulations www.berr.gov.uk/files/file47434.pdf

The closing date for responses is 18th
November 08. The consultation is aimed at all employers and
employees.
