New Wales Service for Workplace Health, Safety & Return-to-Work Issues
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and Welsh Assembly
Government have jointly launched a new service aimed at small &
medium-sized businesses in Wales.
Workboost Wales offers tailored advice and help on workplace
health, safety and return-to-work issues. All advice and visits are
confidential, impartial and free.
Workboost Wales evolved from the former Workplace Health Connect
pilot - however now the service is delivered in partnership between
the HSE and
Assembly, and it also actively signposts people to other lifestyle
support provided by the Assembly.
The service is aimed at businesses in Wales with between 5 - 250
employees who do not already have access to specialist health &
safety advice. Along with telephone advice, free workplace visits
are also available to help solve problems.
It also aims to transfer knowledge and skills direct to managers
and workers, enabling them to tackle and solve any future workplace
health issues themselves.
Workboost Wales can:
- help businesses to understand health &
safety responsibilities
- help to ensure a business is a safe place to work
- help to put things right
- provide access to quality health & safety
advice quickly
For further information or to request an adviser callback please
contact Tel: 0845 609 6006.
The pilot service will run until the end of March 09.
