Wales Sustainability Awards

The 2008 Wales Business & Sustainability Awards have now been launched, aiming to promote and celebrate the success of organisations in Wales in improving their environmental performance, and considering all aspects of sustainability in their operations.

There will be 11 awards in the following categories:

-  Best Practice in Supply Chain Projects - any organisation may apply

-  NHS Green Environmental Award - for NHS organisations only

-  Environmental / Sustainability Education Award - any organisation may apply

-  Sustainability Reporting - for organisations with less then 50 employees

-  Sustainability Reporting - for organisations with 50 or more employees

-  Resource Efficiency - Carbon Reduction - for organisations with fewer than 50 employees

-  Resource Efficiency - Carbon Reduction - for organisations with 50 or more employees

-  Resource Efficiency - Waste, Raw Materials & Utilities - for organisations with fewer than 50 employees

-  Resource EFficiency - Waste, Raw Materials & Utilities - for organisations with 50 employees or more

-  Sustainable Waste Management in the Public Sector - for public sector organisations only

-  Business & Biodiversity - any business may apply

Applications will be accepted only from organisations where the site being judged is located within Wales. 

The closing date for applications is 27th June 08.
